Objectives

1. Provide advice and guidance in the use of transgenic mice for diabetes and diabetes-related research
2. Continue to provide transgenic mice through the F1 generation
3. Continue to provide feeder and embryonic stem cell lines to investigators for knock-out and knock-in projects
4. Offer embryonic stem cell transfer to mouse blastocysts, and subsequent generation of chimeric and F1 animals as a service to Investigators.
5. Continue to provide embryo freezing and storage capabilities for Investigators
6. Provide timed pregnancy capability for invesigators
7. Provide new services for investigators including, maintenance of specific targeted mutagenesis lines, purification of DNA by facility technicians for use in microinjection, and provision of NeoR mice for the production of embryonic feeders for ES Cells.
