Mr. Huo is an M.S. level biostatistician and Ph.D. candidate in epidemiology who brings with him several years experience in biomedical research, including three years as a project coordinator in the Department of Epidemiology at Peking University and one year as a data manager with the China Ministry of Health. He is collaborating on the Childhood Diabetes Prevention Program, and contributed to the preparation of the Reach Out proposal recently submitted to NIH. Within the last few years, he has served as statistician/data analyst for several longitudinal studies of HIV risk factors and the effectiveness of needle-sharing programs for intravenous drug users in the city of Chicago. In addition to his clinical background, he has specific training and expertise in random effects models, sampling design, categorical data analysis, and survival analysis.
