The Administrative Core coordinates and directs the research and training efforts in diabetes conducted at the University. The Core also administrates the Pilot and Feasibility Program that supports new investigators in diabetes research as well as established investigators in other fields to conduct novel research related to diabetes. Now celebrating its 30th year, the DRTC continues to bring together and foster the development of investigators from varied basic, clinical, and behavioral research backgrounds. This cooperative effort enhances and extends the effectiveness of research and training in the diabetes field at the University of Chicago.
